Tiger Mountain Caves, Survey/Mapping
Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 9:00 AM
This trip will involve having fun! exploring, and finally what we were going to be there for; to survey the Tiger Mt. Caves. I have been there a few times, and know of at least 4 caves there. I would like to survey them, and map. I would like to meet in the parking lot at 9:00am and stay there as long as everyone whants to stay up there for. E-mail me if you are interested in heading up there and helping out. Thanks Everyone! Directions to Tradition Trail Head. The Tradition Lake Plateau, on I-90 take Exit 20, then turn right on the frontage road to the gate. Park outside if you plan to be gone past 7 p.m., when the gate is closed. Otherwise, continue on the road .4 mile to the Tradition Plateau trailhead and parking area, elevation 500 feet. My e-mail address jacob_earl86@yahoo.com

About the Cascade Grotto  About the Cascade Grotto
The Cascade Grotto is a local chapter of the National Speleological Society, usually known as the NSS (and not to be confused with the other NSS, the National Space Society). The NSS is dedicated to the study, exploration, and conservation of caves and their contents.

Regular Grotto meetings are held monthly at 7:00 pm on the third Friday of each month at the Hamlin Room in the Shoreline Community Center.  The Center is at 18560 1st Ave. NE in Shoreline.

To get to the Community Center from Seattle, take Exit 176 on Interstate 5 (175th St. N) and turn left at the light at the bottom of the off ramp. At the next traffic light (Meridian Ave. N) turn right. Turn right at 185th St. N (the next light). Turn left on 1st Ave. NE, which again is the next light. The Community Center is on the right. Don't get confused with the Senior Center, which is on the end of the building. Enter the building on the southwest corner and find the Hamlin Room.

If you're coming by bus, try the King County Metro Trip Planner.
